Rustichella D'Abruzzo

The art of authentic Italian pasta since 1924

The art of authentic Italian pasta since 1924

Founded in 1924 in the historic town of Penne, Rustichella d'Abruzzo has become one of Italy's most respected artisan pasta makers, celebrated by chefs and food lovers around the world for preserving the true traditions of Italian pasta.

For more than a century, the Peduzzi family has remained faithful to a simple philosophy: exceptional pasta begins with exceptional ingredients, traditional craftsmanship, and an unwavering respect for time.

Rooted in the heart of Abruzzo

Rooted in the heart of Abruzzo

Nestled between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, Abruzzo has long been recognised as one of Italy's great pasta- producing regions.

Deeply connected to this remarkable territory, Rustichella d'Abruzzo draws its identity from the region's rich culinary heritage, transforming local tradition into a collection of artisan pastas that celebrate the authentic character of Italian cuisine.

Craftsmanship in every shape

Craftsmanship in every shape

Every Rustichella d'Abruzzo pasta is crafted in small batches using carefully selected durum wheat semolina and pure spring water from the Apennine Mountains.

The dough is extruded through traditional bronze dies to create the characteristic rough texture that allows sauces to cling beautifully, before being slowly dried at low temperatures to preserve its flavor, structure, and exceptional cooking quality.

This patient process gives every shape its distinctive character and perfect al dente texture.

More than pasta, an Italian way of life

More than pasta, an Italian way of life

For the Peduzzi family, pasta has always represented more than a recipe—it is a ritual that brings people together.

Inspired by generations of Sunday family lunches, Rustichella d'Abruzzo continues to celebrate the Italian tradition of gathering around the table, where conversation, generosity, and exceptional food become part of the same experience.

Today, this philosophy continues to guide the family as they share the culture of authentic Italian pasta in more than 70 countries around the world.

A century of tradition, a future of innovation

A century of tradition, a future of innovation

While remaining deeply rooted in traditional pasta-making, Rustichella d'Abruzzo continues to evolve, developing new products and contemporary interpretations that respect the integrity of Italian culinary heritage while responding to the needs of modern kitchens.

This balance between craftsmanship and innovation has made the house one of the world's leading ambassadors of artisan pasta.
