Founded in 1848 in the heart of Montélimar, the family house has grown from a small confectionery into one of the leading names in French nougat, preserving generations of expertise while continually enriching its range with new creations inspired by its signature specialty.
The story began with Alexandre Chabert, whose simple philosophy still defines the house today: exceptional nougat begins with exceptional ingredients.
Using generous quantities of almonds, carefully selected honey, and natural vanilla, the family established a standard of quality that has been passed from one generation to the next. Later, Charles Chabert and Henri Guillot expanded the business, combining traditional craftsmanship with an entrepreneurial spirit that helped introduce Montélimar nougat to a wider audience in France and beyond.
At the heart of the collection is the authentic Montélimar IGP Nougat, produced according to the protected specifications that preserve one of France's most celebrated confectionery specialties.
Its traditional recipe combines a generous proportion of almonds, honey, pistachios, egg whites, and natural vanilla, creating the delicate balance of texture and flavor that has made Montélimar nougat renowned for generations.
